Is Update Statistics job needed ?

Hello, I have a weekly Maintenance job that Step #1 first Rebuilds all DBs Indexes.

Next Step #2 Update Statistics on all DBs.

In the DBs Properties -> Options panel shows:

[Auto Update Statistics] = True

[Auto Update Statistics Asynchronously] = False.

Is my job's Step #2 needed and can remove?
