SQL Free Space Performance Montior and Memory Consumption

I'm trying to workout some performance issues with SharePoint. I think it's our SQL server, so I went to look at memory consumption. Of 32 gb I'd reserved 28 GB to SQL and the rest goes to OS.

I know that SQL will use all the memory you give it, but this doesn't really help when you are trying to understand if you need more memory.

I'm looking at the Performance Monitor for SQLSERVER:MemoryManager:FreeMemory(kb).

From what I read this is how much memory you have to work with. For me it is hovering about 100MB.

I've upped the memory reserved to SQL but it does seem its taken up quickly after I add more.

I'm just wanting to verify that eventually if I add enough memory the Free Memory would show more available.  I'm also wondering if I'm even on the right track as to my issues.  Is having only 100mb available to SQL okay?
